4th ELMAR All-Partner Meeting, Gdańsk
All-Partner Meeting was held in Gdansk to discuss the status of the project and the further planned project activities.
Major subject discussed at the first day of the meeting concerned baseline study on the project target groups, case studies of electric drives applications in water mobility sector in Germany. Status of the Polish market analysis was presented by Mr. Marcin Forkiewicz from the Gdańsk University of Technology, while the Lithuanian market study was presented by Mr. Vasilij Djackov from the Kaunas University. Further part of the day was dedicated to the analyses planned within the project, dedicated to the markets of open-deck rental boats with electric propulsion, short distance pax vessels, hydrogen propulsion for vessels, electric car ferries for shorter distances as well as infrastructure for electric leisure boats.
Second day of the meeting was dedicated to further project planning, specifically, concerning feasibility studies, which aim to support development of the electric water mobility, through identification of the sailing areas where the use of electric propulsion might be economically feasible and generate the potential for the promotion of the electric drives.
The meeting also facilitated planning of the study visits addressed to the project stakeholders, especially small shipyards, companies supplying products and services for boats and ships, public bodies responsible for the organization of public transport (e.g. white fleet).
