Traditional wooden Viking boat made electric

Traditional and Historical Ships’ Association Lithuania

A wooden replica of a traditional Viking boat with electric engine was constructed by Traditional and Historical Ships’ Association Lithuania. The hull (a replica of Skuldelev 3 boat)was built from scratch: first the appropriate wood was chosen and manually processed with the use of traditional methods. The boat was manually constructed with implementation of historical boatbuilding techniques. An electric outboard engine was chosen. It can be attached at different sides of the boat for better manoeuvrability.
